![]() ![]() The SEL adds LED headlight accents, heated exterior mirrors, rear parking sensors, an exterior keyless entry pad, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, dual-zone automatic climate control, upgraded cloth upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and satellite radio. Standard features of the SE model include 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, rear privacy glass, remote locking and unlocking, air-conditioning, 60/40-split folding and reclining rear seatbacks, a 4.2-inch central display screen, a height-adjustable driver seat, a rearview camera, Bluetooth, voice controls, and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player and a USB port. The top-level Sport model gets its own sporty turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 (315 hp, 350 lb-ft), a six-speed transmission and AWDe. Both engines have a six-speed transmission and standard front-wheel drive. I have only had the Edge for a bit less than 3 months now, so the overall reliability is still unknown.so far so good though.įor powertrains, a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine (245 horsepower, 275 pound-feet of torque) is standard on SE, SEL and Titanium models, with a 3.5-liter V6 (280 hp, 250 lb-ft) option available on SEL and Titanium trims. Takes some getting used to, but actually makes it handle better.very tight steering compared to just the regular steering. It has Adaptive Steering as well, which changes the steering ratio constantly. I really like the SYNC 3 system too, though it can be a bit limited in its performance. The Automatic Wipers are annoying at best, but I had those on a previous car and they were annoying s not a Ford issue. One complaint, I wish the BLIS Blind Spot Warning had some sort of Audible alert in addition to the light in the mirror.bad omission by Ford!! Most other makers have a sound in addition to the light. Honestly, I would not have any SUV without AWD.I think it's a necessity for such a vehicle! The adaptive cruise control, BLIS Blind Spot Warning and the Lane Keeping Assist work very well. The AWD system helps to keep the vehicle planted very well during the recent heavy rains we have had where I live. It's not going to break loose and spin the tires from a stop light, but it is not meant to do that. ![]() Now, 3 months later I have not been dissapointed! The Edge drives great, smooth and very quiet, and with the 2.0 EcoBoost has decent acceleration. EVERYTHING! Waited about 8+ weeks for its arrival. the V6 (the V6 is old school), trailer tow package with hitch, cold weather package, 20" wheels with grey pockets and the cargo accessory package. I got the Titanium Model with Magnetic Grey exterior, Ebony Leather interior, 302A package, AWD, opted for the 2.0 EcoBoost vs. The reason I special ordered was I wanted litterally EVERY option available, in the exact color I wanted. Once I finally decided on the Edge, I found a nearby Ford Dealer and special ordered one. I looked all over and compared multiple SUVs for several months before making my decision. Original Review: First of all, this is a GREAT SUV. I now have … a Ford ESP Premium Care Extended Warranty on it to 100K miles for those “just in case things”. Drives well, rides well and gets decent gas mileage for a heavy AWD vehicle. It has only been to the shop for routine maintenance and oils changes. I only have just over 22K miles on it, mainly because of limited driving due to the pandemic over the past year and half. Update November 2021: After 3yrs of ownership, I am still enjoying my 2018 Edge.
